The course is open to all seafarers and prospective seafarer and should be completed prior to
employment on a sea-going ship. The following are the criteria:
(a) Holds as a minimum, a Secondary School Leaving Criteria (10th) from a Board recognized by
the government of India, or its equivalents recognized by the Government of India.
(b) Should have minimum 17 years of age.
Must have Medical Fitness Certificate from a DG approved doctor.
