Capt. Philip Mathews is responsible for overall management of fleet personnel recruitment on board the vessels of Seven Islands Shipping Ltd. He is also qualified as an Extra Master and holds an M.Sc. in Maritime Affairs from the World Maritime University. Capt. Philip has around 40 years’ experience working with Shipping Corporation of India, having sailed on their vessels for 20 years. He has also served as the principal of the SCI Maritime Training Institute for 2 years and has served as the Chairman of the Company of Master Mariners of India and as Chairman of the Board of Examination for Seafarers Trust. Capt. Philip is an Ex-member of Court and Executive Council of Indian Maritime University (IMU).
