About Seven Islands and Seaspan Admission and recruitment drive

The Seven Islands Maritime Training Institute and Seaspan have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen the placement prospects for the institute’s cadets. This aims to provide enhanced opportunities for the cadets by potentially offering them better placements within the maritime industry through Seaspan’s resources, and expertise. The collaboration seeks to create a more robust and promising pathway for the professional development and career advancement of the cadets associated with the institute.

Eligibility Criteria:-


  1. Academic standard
    BE or B-Tech : Electronics / Electrical / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering passed in first attempt with min 60%.
  2. 12th PCM : min 60% and above
  3. Age : Maximum 24yrs

    BE or B-Tech : Mechanical Engineering passed in first attempt with min 60%.
  2. 12th PCM / or Diploma : min 60% and above (Not applicable if Diplo
  3. Age : Maximum 24yrs

Diploma in Nautical Sciences

  1. Academic standard
    12th standard PCM : Min 60% & above in first attempt
  2. Age : Maximum 21 yrs

Selection Process

  • Apply Online
  • You will receive an email for an online test by Seaspan
  • Once qualified in the test there will be a personal interview
  • Once qualified in the interview there will be a medical test as per STCW 2010/MS Medical rules 2000 and all its amendments.
